JustCad is designed, to make cad drawing as simple as possible. To draw any object, simply click on the screen or snap to an existing object, move the cursor in the desired direction and enter a distance. To change an angle setting for any function, simply click on it's display box and enter a new value. Draw confined to an angle or free cursor with a simple click on the display. Define an Associate, hatch or multiple line by drawing the desired pattern, select it, enter a name and enter the prompted for reference points. Edit multiple objects with a few clicks on the screen. There is no setup for each drawing. Just draw. When your drawing is finished, select all or a part of it, click on the print menu, enter a scale and print.

Since 1999 and JustCad 2.1, until today, with JustCad 6.0, the focus has been to create a user friendly cad program for 2 dimensional drafting needs. Although JustCad supports no industry standards, it is an excellent design platform for home projects and anything which requires simple 2 dimensional drawings. JustCad will draw anything which can be represented with a line, circle, arc, ellipse or text. You can dimension linear, radius and angle.

Your finished drawing can be printed out on any Windows compatible printer. 

JustCad will also create a dxf file, which represents your drawing that can be loaded into any major cad program. The dxf file will contain no actual editable dimensions but a graphic depiction
of them, which will look exactly like your drawing. JustCad is limited in using only those fonts which are available on your operating system. If you intend to share drawings with
others, their system may not contain the same fonts as yours.

Desi-III CAD

The project QCad started in October 1999 as a fragment of CAM Expert, which is a CAM System for engraving and LASER cutting. CAM Expert was capable of enough CAD functionality that a spinoff for an independent CAD system made sense.

QCad 1 was an overwhelming success. Within about two years it had an estimated user base of about 70'000, probably more. Its user interface was available in 20 languages and it received top ratings and awards on several occasions.

However, while QCad kept growing, it became clear that there would have to be a major redesign at one point to allow further extensions. That's why QCad 2 development started in May 2002. The main goal of this ambitious project was to make QCad more productive, more user friendly, more flexible and increase its compatibility with other products.

The idea took a rather long time to fully materialize. Almost 1000 hours of design and development in total. But I hope it was worth it. QCad 2 is designed with modularity and future extensions in mind.
