A blast at a construction site in Jos, Plateau State caused pandemonium on Monday evening as commuters and passers-by around the Murtala Muhammad way in Jos fled for their lives. Witnesses said the explosion which occurred around 6pm almost caused an accident around the British junction as motorists attempted to turn from the road. Shops also shut down temporarily until it was discovered that it was not a bomb blast.
