Houses Submerged As Ewaso Nyiro River Floods Merti Area

MORE than 30 houses in Merti district were yesterday submerged in water after Ewaso Nyiro river burst its bank following heavy rain upstream.The residents were caught unawares when the raging water from the river flooded the areas and cut down transport network in the region. Merti civic ward councillor Halake Fayo said hundreds of families are affected.
